Amoveo Aims at Cyclone Rating 5

It was with great sadness that lives were lost today as a result of Cyclone George. In light of the cyclone Amoveo is moving quickly to achieve a Catergory 5 cyclone rating for its range of accommodation units.

At least three people are believed to have died when Category 4 Cyclone George slammed into Western Australia's north. A number of people had been injured, some seriously, when the cyclone struck a mining construction camp in Pilbara, 100km south of Port Hedland.

Cyclone George crossed the east coast tearing off roofs, mangling fences, downing trees over power lines and cutting off power and phone services to most local towns.

The severe tropical cyclone gusted with destructive winds of up to 275km/h, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

While Amoveo portable containerised solutions were not involved in the incident Amoveo will be improving its Cyclone rating in response to the disaster.
